A few Grantees share their experience in obtaining a Grant.

At age 22 I have discovered my passion for music and the entertaining arts. The Diamant Foundation was inspired to hear about my journey and the struggles I faced with no financial support from family or friends. The Foundation helped me to transition from California to New York where I felt I needed to be in pursuit of my career. It’s great to know that organizations like the Diamant Foundation are there to support individuals like me in achieving their dreams.

I was in financial hardship due to becoming destitute and homeless after having spent the past 10 years taking care of my aging parents who have recently died. The Diamant Foundation cared enough to provide me with some financial support until I got back on my feet. Being in such difficult circumstances, especially after dedicating so much time and effort to caring for my aging parents, I am eternally grateful to the Diamant Foundation for providing support at a time of pure desperation. As an immigrant to the United States seeking a better life, I found myself in a familiar position shared by many other women like me: without a higher education, I could only secure employment as a house cleaner. Living paycheck to paycheck, I struggled to cover the cost of much-needed dental work with no savings to rely on. Fortunately, the Diamant Foundation extended a helping hand when I needed it most. Their support not only alleviated my financial burden but also provided me with access to essential dental care that greatly improved my quality of life.

After immigrating from Mexico to the United States and becoming a citizen, I found employment as a carpenter and in general construction. Despite working diligently, my income remains modest due to being paid an hourly wage. Recently, my truck encountered significant mechanical issues, and I lacked the funds to repair it. Without my truck, I was unable to earn any income. Thankfully, the Diamant Foundation stepped in to provide assistance during this challenging time.
